My first test drive; we'll need lots more spokes so it won't go bump-bump-bump. At this point I have a piece of 1 1/2 inch PVC flexible pipe wrapped around the wheel to act as a tire. I slit it open along the inside diameter, so It's not really attached and is only held on by it's own tendency to stay round.

After adding twice as many spokes, I covered the whole wheel with canvas streched over a metal hoop made of a long piece of 1/4 inch round stock. The canvas hoops are lashed to the spokes with baling wire and the silver wedges are spray painted on.

The front wheel turns a live axle so I can have pedals. Here I'm coating the bits of the pedal assemblies with polyethylene.

The pedals are installed with shear pins just in case.
