I had to sneak a new wall perpendicular to the existing finished wall. I dropped a plumb line and ripped out a narrow swath.

and marked and cut right across the ceiling.

Drop a plumb line and mark the floor for the bottom of the wall.

Assemble the new wall on the flat concrete floor

and stand it up against the ceiling cap piece

and persuade the bottom into place with a sledge hammer.

Do the same for the intersecting wall

and stand it up into place as well.

Both bedroom doors will be hinged on the same pillar, so it is made of glued and screwed 2 x 6's.

Fir down for an overhead cabinet with a light under it for a desk.
