Bob & Cheryl buy a Lake House.

Back to the bathroom...
I got a new vanity base cabinet and cut out a section to go over my A/C duct.

Lakehouse

I plan on tiling behind the sink so I built a little shelf and I'll line it with concrete board.

Here's the plumbing closet showing the hot and cold manifolds and individual valves for each appliance.

Lakehouse

More surprises... The last guy brought the tub drain through the concrete exactly where the drain needs to be and didn't leave room for a trap. I had to chip it out and set a new drain. I knocked together a wooden form.

Here's my drain and trap.

Lakehouse

All ready to set the new tub.

Here's the shower diverter plumbed in.

Lakehouse

Then tar paper.

Lakehouse

Then cement board to hold the tile. That's pretty much all I can do in the bath until it's time to sheetrock.

Lakehouse

Back to the front wall... Here's the two bedroom windows framed out.

Lakehouse

Here's my first attempt at Hardiplank concrete board siding. It went pretty fast and looks good, I think...

Lakehouse

They tell me Hurricane Ike is headed for the Texas coast and I've only got 48 hours to finish the front wall so I started early and set the three windows today.

Lakehouse

God bless the pneumatic nail gun.

Lakehouse

and peel and stick butyl rubber flashing.

Lakehouse

It's starting to look like a real house...

The siding is now up to the eves awaiting trim.
